Google Drive software (Docs, Slides, Sheets, etc) is an easy recommendation for all things educational, and it especially shines in allowing students to be collaborative. Multiple people can work on a single document at the same time and view the edit history, as well as record and respond to comments. Google drive is free with a google account and is a part of G Suite for Education.
